Best Games That You Can Play on an Apple Watch

Although not as powerful as an iPad or an iPhone, an Apple watch is quite a versatile device and has a lot packed into a small package. Based on the model or type of Apple watch that you opt for and how you would like to use it, there are a variety of activities that you can perform from tracking your workouts to listening to music, monitoring your heartbeat, viewing your photos, and a lot more. Surprisingly, you can even play games on this cool gadget. The watch’s App Store has many games, designed specifically for a tiny wrist sized screen.

Simply search for ‘games’ in the watch’s App Store which is stylized as ‘A’, similar to iPhone. Here are some of the best games that you can enjoy on the Apple device wrapped around your wrist.

Pocket Bandit

Since a watch game doesn’t have the bandwidth to feature stellar graphics or fast action, Pocket Bandit focuses on something that distinguishes the watch from other devices, which is the Digital Crown. The game allows you to play the role of a safe cracker wherein you need to spin the crown to unlock safe combinations before the timer runs out. The haptic feedback will let you know when you are getting close.

Runeblade

If you are fond of traditional games, this free game will be the best thing you will find. This is basically a role-playing game that involves hacking and slashing your way through a tiny adventure, managing inventory, levelling up, and improving your weapons and armor along the way. There’s not a lot of depth though.

Lifeline

This one is a wrist-sized version of the text-based adventure game. The twist involved here is that it happens in real-time. It includes chatting with someone who has crash-landed on an alien planet. Your responsibility is to ensure the adventurer’s safety. You will keep getting notifications throughout the day whenever the adventurer requires your help and when you send him for a task, he’ll check back on you after an hour to inform you how it went.

Elevate

This is an award-winning educational game that effectively works out your brain. It features more than three dozen game styles, focussing on math, memory, reading comprehension, and a lot more. Basically, it’s like taking a daily cross between SAT test, trivia challenge, and brain teasers. It’s a fun game to sharpen your cognitive skills.

Pong

This one is a simple and free game that lets you play against your watch to keep the ball in play with the help of nothing but the digital crown for moving the paddle. It’s hard to believe that a sophisticated device, with multiple advanced features, can still be used to play something as simple as Pong.

If you already possess an Apple watch, well and good, if not then search ‘Apple Imagine store near me’ and you will be able to check out all the amazing Apple devices out there. Besides the games being discussed, other features such as calorie tracker, steps tracker, heart rate monitor, notifications, etc. will make your life a lot easier.

Books & Bookstores: Your Guide To The Best Bookstores In The Capital

We're living in a time where the world has moved on to kindles and iPads. However, there are still a few old-school folks out there who would give anything just to feel the pages of the stories we often immerse ourselves in - the sheer joy of holding a book that they can sniff, flip through and even fold at the edges!

Having said that, the right way of buying a good book for all of these old-school folks is by simply heading straight to the bookstore after gallantly pushing away the temptation of buying them at discounted prices on the internet!

 Midland Book Shop

It goes without saying that Midland is a cosy little bookstore in Aurobindo and has always, always been a childhood favourite. Having one of the best science fiction selections, they also have almost all books by Indian authors with an impeccable taste in comic books and graphic novel collections. Even though it is not a three-storey building filled with books, it is quite the bookshop you don't want to miss out on. What's best is, if you want a book but they don't have it, they are more than willing to order it just for you!

People Tree Bookstore

Small and intimate, this little bookshop is situated in the People Tree clothing store. While they do not have a wide variety of selection, if you dig around just enough, you'll probably find some of the best books of all time and it would all be worth it.

 Bahrisons

Tucked away in Khan Market ever since 1953, Bahrisons is most certainly one of the most iconic bookstores in Delhi. Not only do they have every Man Booker Prize nominee, but also some of the best selection of coffee table books! If you've been here before, you probably already know that the magazine section in the back is always packed.

 Crossword @ Select CityWalk

No matter where it is, Crossword never disappoints bibliophiles. In fact, this one is definitely one of the best Crosswords in Delhi, an impeccable point of cultural and social interaction where authors and poets hold court, children are regaled and people gravitate not only to be entertained, but also to be informed. If you ever enter a Crossword bookstore, you're definitely not coming out with just a book.

So, if you're one of those people who just can't get enough of reading, listed above are some of the most beloved bookstores in the capital. However, the question remains - Is your favourite here too?

Don’t Let Your Skin Get Dull Even While You Quarantine!

Social distancing is hard but you know what definitely doesn’t help? Sitting around watching the news or scrolling social media all day long! With negativity and uncertainty brimming, seeing too much of it can really get you down. Self-isolation doesn’t have to be sad or depressing but must be utilized as a time to do things you have been putting off including self-care and rejuvenation.

Sometimes the best way to heal yourself is taking a step back and working on yourself, even when you are in a middle of a crisis.

Here are a few tips to reset and get that glow you have always desired:

Induce exercise in your daily routine

“ I don’t have time’ is the most common excuse we gave for not working out till now. For all the busy bees, now is the time. Begin your day with an energizing workout. It doesn’t have to be long or strenuous but just enough to get your blood flowing. Now that the lockdown is slowly opening up, you can get your puma sportsshoes and go for a morning jog. The best way to fix your routine in such case is to become a morning person.

Hydrate continuously

Most of the people struggle to drink enough water. This might become even worse when at home. If you want to help your skin, your mood, and your digestion, water is the key. Get yourself a big bottle of water and keep reminding yourself to drink. Set goals for yourself. Do not be surprised when you feel amazing, hydrated, and glowed up.

Treat Yourself with A Face Mask:

No one had the time to pamper their skin on a regular basis when life was normal. There was always something that felt more important. After the day’s work, the best we treated ourselves was with a good night’s sleep. Now that our plates are a little less full, let’s sit back, close our eyes and apply some face masks on our skin.

Start A Skin-Care Routine:

If you haven’t yet, now is the time to start your CTM routine. Cleansing, toning, and moisturizing your skin twice a day can do more wonders to your skin than you can imagine. Start using all those creams and serum sitting on your counter.  Exfoliate once a week to get rid of dead skin cells, eat right and glow up.

This self-isolation, quarantine or social distancing whatever you may call it should feel like a blessing in disguise – if you choose to take it that way.  Show yourself some love and step out all glowed up once all of this is over or a vaccine for COVID-19 is developed.

Super Easy Snacks to Try at Home During Lockdown

Are you craving for those lip-smacking snacks that you would have every time you were out with your friends or family? Well, this lockdown period, which has been for two months now, has put a halt on all our outdoor activities, be it hangouts with friends or family dinners at our favourite restaurants. Seeing the current situation, things are not going to change for another few months, and we all will be spending a few more days locked in our homes. But that does not mean you have to miss those yummy delicacies that you used to savour before. You just need to put on your chef hat and prepare them at home. Here are some easy to cook snacks (that can be made with ingredients already there in your kitchen) that you can prepare during this lockdown period to satiate your cravings:

Bread Poha: This healthy and tasty meal can be prepared within minutes and that too with simple ingredients available in your kitchen. All you need is some bread slices, veggies of your choice, oil and spices. Start with chopping the bread slices into cubes. Put oil in a pan, add mustard seeds and cumin, saute them for sometime and then add the onions, finely chopped chillies, ginger, tomatoes and all veggies of your choice. Add spices to this mixture, cook it for a few minutes and then add bread cubes to the mixture. Cook for about 5 minutes on low medium flame until the bread becomes crispy on the edges. Garnish it with coriander and yummy bread upma is ready to eat.

French Fries: We all love fries, they are crazy delicious! If you miss relishing the best burgers and fries in Saket that you would have with your friends at least once every month, worry not as you can easily prepare them at home. Take 4-5 potatoes, peel them and the cut into 1/4-inch slices. Put them in a large bowl, soak in water for about 20 minutes and then drain. Then put oil in a pot, fry potato slices for 5-6 minutes until they are golden and crisp and then drain them on a cooling rack. Serve them while they are warm and do not forget to sprinkle salt and dip sauces of your choice.

Aloo Tikki Burgers: Delicious and lip-smacking- these two words perfectly describe aloo tikki burgers. The best thing about preparing them at home is that you can add your own twist by choosing ingredients of your choice. If you've already prepared tikkis before, these burgers can be prepared in just a few minutes. If not, then prepare tikkis first by boiling and binding veggies of your choice, flatten them and shallow fry until golden brown. Then slice each bun into two parts, spread mayo dressing and ketchup, place onions, tomatoes, cheese slice (if you like), tikki and place the other slice bun. Appetizing aloo tikki burgers are ready to dive in.

Satisfy Your Foot-Fetish With The Shoe Guide

Footwear is a fetish for many, a weakness for some and a fascination for most. It is not a surprise to see the different ranges and the increasing varieties of shoes on display today. The footwear outlets are coming up with new designs every day to satisfy the demands of the people. Whether it is shoes or casual sandals, everything has a fancy variant.

With all of us masquerading as Carrie Bradshaw in 'Sex and the City', we can only hope that there is more out there, and fast. Well, thankfully, brands like fitness first in saket come up with new and fascinating designs every fortnight just so that they can soothe our eyes, and our feet. After all, happy feet lead to happy stores.

There are, however, some basic things to keep in mind when buying shoes for oneself.

Purpose

It is important to distinguish the reason for the purchase of a particular pair. Is it an impulsive purchase or a work thing? A casual buy or a new style? Once you've distinctly categorized the reason, it is easier to select and choose the right thing. For example, when looking for work shoes for men, it is advisable to look for something black, dark brown or other sober colours.

Comfort

I agree that heels are not the most comfortable things in the worlds, but boy, are they pretty! At the same time, it is important to note that they don't bite your feet or stagger you. A bad walk is a terrible put-off when at a gathering or a party. Plus, people with uncomfortable shoes don't make for the most pleasant conversations either.

Selection

As far as the final selection is concerned, it is the most crucial stage of the process. You have to keep into account all factors - comfort, style, design and affordability. Taking a day or two to think is not a bad idea if you're not too sure. It is also a good idea to try in three four stores before you zero-in on your final choice.

Shopping online

It is not a bad idea to buy shoes online. They are plenty of ranges, it's easy, and at the same time, there is no hassle of driving out to stores and trying out things. But shopping online for footwear has its own issues. The size, for one. You must make sure that the British and American standard of sizing is taken into account when selecting your size. A lot of times the material that is expected of the shoes is different from what actually comes, so it is a good idea to perhaps not shop for leather or suede shoes online. Before buying anything, make sure there is a full refund or exchange policy in case you're not satisfied with your purchase.

How To Do Electronic Shopping Perfectly

Imagine you want to purchase the latest smartphone for yourself. You have checked several online stores with fancy deals and offers but you are still not convinced with the idea of buying electronics from an e-commerce platform. If this is the case with you, then you are still a traditional shopper at heart and why you shouldn’t be? Shopping offline, especially if you are going to buy electronics, has several advantages over other methods of shopping.

Here goes the list of reasons why offline shopping is still a popular choice among shoppers –

Hands on experience – If you reside in the capital city, you have a plethora of offline stores to buy electronics from. If you are looking to buy a brand new mobile phone for yourself, you have several authorized mobile accessory stores in Saket which offer you to choose from your favourite brands. The main advantage of buying electronics in-store is that you will be able to feel the look and touch of the hardware before paying for it. Shopping offline not just lets you experience the grandeur in actuality but also allow you to compare products to one another.

Better return policies – Retail outlets like Samsung, Motorola and Apple authorized resellers in Indiahave undoubtedly better return policies as compared to the online platforms selling the same brand. With a receipt, modern retail outlets are easy to deal with when returning the purchased electronic items or using the warranty on it.

Immediate purchase needs and discounts – If you need to buy that gadget immediately, there is no way that in-stores can’t help with your immediate purchase needs. You won’t have to wait for weeks or even months to get something which you need urgently. Also, with offline shopping, you have the direct access to big savings as you get amazing deals on your credit cards and reward cards.

No need of waiting until the price drops – Many of us have the tendency to wait until the price of a product falls. With their ever-changing prices, you are never able to gauge the actual price of the product. But this doesn’t happen if you are shopping from the retail stores as they don’t have these hourly changing discounts. You just have to figure out the best places to shop offline and you are good to go.

Instant gratification – Shopping is supposed to make you feel happy about yourselves. You have to admit that there is something satisfying when you actually experience the product and take it home with you. That shopping bag on your arm proudly tells the story of your happiness.

Great Quality Ensured – When you are buying from the authorized stores, you are ensured about the quality of the product. On the other hand, if you purchase any electronic item online, you are never convinced. You are in a constant fear about the quality of your purchase. To make sure that you only get the best quality products from your purchase, there is no better option than shopping in-store.

The convenience of in-person interaction with products and people offline is still resonating the most among the shoppers. If you are looking to have the best electronics shopping experience, head towards Select Citywalk and get the best of everything.

Smartphones and Their In-Demand Accessories

Gone are the days when mobile phones were used to be just another gadget in our gadgets cabinet and or used just for the primary purpose of calling anymore. In fact, mobile phones have become a part and parcel of our everyday lives in a much bigger way and taken up really important roles. Indians will understand this more in the context of demonetization (wink), after which the preferred mode of payment even at petrol stations has been e-wallets and mobile banking. Same has been the case with shopping as most of the people now prefer shopping from online websites like Amazon and Flipkart, which offer services like doorstep delivery and reverse pick up (in case of return or refund).

What more has happened with the rise of mobile phone as a hub of key day to day life services is that the mobile accessory market has also boomed and came rising up. Here are a few mobile phone accessories that have been at the top of the market:

1. Mobile Phone Cable

Mobile phone charging cables stand at the top of the summit of mobile phone accessory demand. This is mostly because of the fact that they tend to break easily owing to rough use and this sends users looking for more. With the growth of tech, cables have also developed into types and we see there are USB A, Mini USB, USB C and USB Lightning (for iPhones) cables.

2. Mobile Phone Cases

Now mobile phones are also a symbol of fashion and style with companies launching one after another beautiful looking phones. Metal back, glass back and matte finish. This has led to the users also taking due care of the phones they hold and ensuring that they put a phone in a cover or case as soon as they start using it. In the more recent times, companies tend to send the phone with an out-of-the-box silicone cover but the availability of customizable covers has led the demand to rise more with each passing day.

3. Mobile Phone Chargers

What has been remarkable in the development of mobile phones besides the things they can do is the battery, both in terms of capacity as well as the time taken by them to reach a 100% charge. The more recent trend has been that of fast, faster and wireless chargers. While there are smartphones that offer 0-40% charge in around 20 minutes, there have also been brands that have been grabbing eye balls with their wireless charging technology and wireless chargers.

These have been the top three trending smartphone accessories of the year 2019 and one can say that with the smartphone market graph going upwards for all times to come, the demand for these accessories is also set to see an increase. If you are looking for these and many more accessories, mobile accessory store in Saket which is arguably the best in the business is now housed by the Select Citywalk mall. Check it out for some jaw-dropping accessories.
